2022 Friendship League Draft was a blast!

Wow, we actually pulled it off, the first live draft in three years!!!  What a great time, thanks to everybody for your help setting things up, running things, and just being great fun to hang out with. It is an exciting new chapter for the league with the addition of Mike,Matt,and Aaron!  The league is fully staffed with great guys that make this league strong and fun.  Great to have all the new people aboard! 

Randy and Mike, was great to have you attend virtually but you were both missed.  Hope to have the whole gang together in person for next year!  Been way too long since we had a  full group hot tub :-)

Big thanks to Dave, who continues to set us up with amazing (and affordable!) digs for our weekend.  The hotel in Novi was a fantastic home base, and had the largest board room we have ever had.  We had champagne toasts, bingo ball betting, a crazy amount of craft beer, and an endless amount of snacks.  Who could ask for anything more?!

Kansas City was somehow the beneficiary of  a Bingo Ball miracle, beating 75 to 1 odds to land the first overall pick, Wander Franco.  143 picks later, Boston closed the festivities by selecting Mr. Irrelevant 2021, Dustin Garneau.  In between was a mix of players ranging from sure things to long shots, from prospects to suspects.  I know it is a cliche, but I have a feeling we won't know who won this particular draft for a couple years.  

The league file is now out there to be downloaded and restored, and season play can being.  I still urge everyone to double and triple check their roster in the computer file before playing.  I THINK I got the right people for each time, but there was some chaos during the draft so I am not 100% sure of that.  It's difficult to fix that after the season begins, so please make sure your team roster is right before playing.  With that, two words to leave you all with....PLAY BALL!!!!
