Las Vegas - Fremont owner Chuck today sent catcher Tyler Flowers to the Minnesota Men for reliever Mariano Rivera. After mastering the principles set forth with Paul Krugman's Nobel Prize winning work on New Trade theory, depicted below....

Seriously, this won a Nobel Prize
...the 'Monts were able to turn their excess catcher capacity; the dotted curve below line 0,5 (obviously) into needed potential right handed relief output; at a minimum shown here by K, and hopefully, eventually some point above K on the curved line.

Chuck said, while he does not foresee more trade before the league deadline, he advised that the rest of the league has his phone number and that interesting trades would be considered.

Some highlights of PJ Carr's internship with the Johnson City Cardinals

My son's summer internship is going great, he is learning a lot and having a fantastic time down in Johnson City, TN.   He gets to do a bit of everything, including game day promotions like Vampire Night, Hot Dog Eating contests, and races with the kids.  All while sporting the coveted Stan "The Man" jersey  :-)

Count Chocula, recipient of the Vampire
Of The Year award
He's given me plenty of scoop on the players, but since this is a St. Louis farm team, I have to hope some of these guys get traded to the AL one day.

For anyone with a REALLY slow Saturday night tomorrow, you can listen to him broadcast his very first game as the JC Cardinals take on the Greenville Astros.  I haven't even heard him yet and I know he is better than Jim Price. Game time is 6:00 PM.  You can click on the site below to listen live..
