Photos from Draft Weekend!

Big thanks to all for a great time and another successful Draft Weekend!!   Special thanks to Dave for hooking us up at the hotel and getting us the very sweet suite that we enjoyed both days!  We saw the birth of the Springfield Isotopes, the first appearance of wine at the Draft, the first Salmon-flavored beer, MSU beating #2 Virginia, and numerous other amazing things.  Great times, wish all the best of luck for a fun and exciting season!!!

Joanna: Really? I... I have fifteen pieces on. I, also...
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Well, okay. Fifteen is the minimum, okay?
Joanna: Okay.
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Now, you know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or... well, like Brian, for example, has thirty seven pieces of flair, okay. And a terrific smile.
Joanna: Okay. So you... you want me to wear more?
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Look. Joanna.
Joanna: Yeah.
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, okay? They come to Chotchkie's for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That's what the flair's about. It's about fun.
Joanna: Yeah. Okay. So more then, yeah?
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Look, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don't you?
Joanna: Yeah, yeah.
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Okay. Great. Great. That's all I ask.

AND THE DEALS KEEP GOING!!!!!!!

Not content to have any member of his protection list still on his team come draft day, Jimmy worked around the schedule of hard workin', fast playin', problem eradicatin' and the sumbitch, who for some reason who uses the San Diego ballpark for his South of the Border team......Bill Marx to secure this:

To Monterrey: Markakis, Davis
To San Diego: Martin, 3rd Round Pick

Why haven't we done a deal yet? Oh yeah, YOU haven't done your protection list.

HOMO.

Sunday, March 1, 2015

Jimmy is working the off season trade phones HARD!

After the Brandon McCarthy for a 5th round pick trade, Jimmy not content to wait for protection lists or stare at the same cards pulls off another pre-draft deal!

San Diego is sending Shin Soo Choo (he of the back from the NL list) to Pittsburgh for John Jaso. Both teams relayed to the other tales of outdoor snow fun then got down to business and finalized the deal. The deal benefits both teams as Pittsburgh inches its way toward ABs and Jimmy pulls himself out of the sweepstakes to see just how many catchers are needed to make up 540 ABs.

Are there more deals creeping out there? Hmmmmmmmmmm.
