This day in baseball history - the birth of Frederick "Crazy" Schmit

  1. After a game Fred would go and play quarters with his team. However, because he wasn't a team player with that horrible record and ERA when someone made a rule for team quarters he would quit and go back to his favorite tavern from the night before and tell stories about how he thought he was good at quarters and often cheated. He recorded other players who were not really trying to cheat, who had made errors on keeping up, to cover up his own cheating.

  3. I really need to dig up that undisputed video recording (evidence) of Andy cheating at quarters... I mean when he "made errors on keeping up".... whatever that is...
